Please pray for us and our family.

Our nephew Andrew passed away unexpectedly on Friday.

Andrew is Mike's brother Bobby's son.

We will be traveling to Minnesota for the funeral Wednesday evening.

Please pray for everyone to have safe travel and for everyone to be able to cope.

Also pray for my mom, she's going to have 4 dogs in her house while we are gone!!

Mike and I had a really good anniversary weekend. I can't believe today is our 2 year anniversary! Time goes by so fast!

Well Friday night started out kinda crummy, Cassy had a babysitter emergency so I had to watch a very cranky Corina! No Nap! Well Mike fell asleep so he wouldn't have to deal with her, and Corina and I played outside and got attacked by squirrels! Ok so he was eating a walnut and dropping the pieces by us, same thing!

Well thank goodness she got hungry and we could got inside. Right after dinner she fell asleep. So Mike and Corina were sleeping in the living room!

Well Mike woke up not long after that and we watched a movie until Cassy came to get her little demon child. :)

After that Mike and I went out for dinner at the OP in Waverly...good pizza!

Then headed home to get some sleep so we could get moving on our journey to Wisconsin!

Apple Day!

I love apple day! It is so much fun to drive through the hills and see the leaves and rock. We took a different way to get there this time. Went though a bunch of little towns that I didn't know were that close to Readlyn. We finally got to Gay's Mills and went to several orchards. We ended up at a Pick You Own apple place. We had never done that before. It was so much fun and we plan on going back!

After that we hit up some more orchards and then grabbed a chili dog!

We headed in to Prairie Du Chein, WI and went to Cabela's.

After that we went to Pete's Hamburgers. If you have never been there, GO! Awesome burgers!

Then we headed over to McGregor to the flea market. I ended up with a really neat vase.

Then we went in to Starks Liquor and Guns! Haha! That was a fun store. I got a Mississippi River Rat Sweat Shirt!

Then we headed off to Pikes Peak. It was packed so we didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted to looking at the view but we did get to hike down to the waterfall. We went behind it and I touched to water (see pictures above!) going back up all the stairs was quite a hike, 1/2 mile up the stairs all the way but we surrvived!

After that we headed back to Prairie Du Chein for dinner. We ate a Huckleberrys. Good food! By the end of the day we were dog tired!
So we came home nice and late!

We sat around and started watching a movie but were to tired so we went to bed.

Sunday we slept in.

When we got up we hung around the house and enjoyed ourselves. We finally headed to town to deliver apples and cheese around 5. Our first stop was at Dusty and Krystals. Where we decided to all go out to dinner. That was fun!
Then we went over to Mom's to take her some apples.

Then headed to Mike's Mom's to take her some apples!

All in All a very appley day!

Last night Mike prepared a very romantic dinner for me. Sat me down with a glass of wine, brought me some salad, cheesey bread, then we ate Cheese Manacotti together! It was very sweet. He also got me flowers! I am so lucky!

Yay! My tooth is officially all better! I don't have to get numb again! HOORAY! At least for a while. I have to go back for a filing in a month but that's nothing! I am so relieved. But when I get the bill I wont be! Ha! My root canal went really well I was such a big girl!



After my root canal I took my mom to HyVee to get her outta the house for a little while. She did really good. Plus, we found a really good deal on some new movies! That was fun!



I went home after that and Mike was there waiting for me. We were both so exhausted! We watched "Semi Pro" with Will Ferral in it! It was good! That was one of the movies I got a good deal on. After that we got up and got moving. Mike had to re wire the trailer for the next day. So while he worked on that I mowed the lawn. When I started it was light out. When I got about 1/2 way done it was DARK. We have a riding mower which to me makes it harder to see where you have been and where you are going! I had FUN! I ended up driving in a lot of circles. The yard looked funny the next day but I didn't miss too much! After we were done with that we rented another movie "Drillbit Taylor" with Owen Wilson. Another awesome movie, Mike missed most of it though...he fell asleep right away!

Saturday was busy. We slept too late and then had to hurry up for the rest of the day. We had to take the trailers to Mom's then go to Mike's mom's then get back in time to change and be in Janeville because we were working at another wedding for the catering company. We still like working these things but we don't like having to be somewhere on a Saturday! We got home in plenty of time. Myndi came over as well as little Michael. We had too much fun! We stayed up way to late and got nothing done!

Sunday was BUSY too. We got up just in time to go to the store and get some things because Mike's brother Derek and his family were coming over for a BBQ. We had a nice time with them even though we were really tired most of the time. After we ate and played, they headed for home. So Mike and I got going and went to town as well. We had to go pick up the trailer at My moms and wanted to visit with Uncle Dave for a little bit. We were in luck. Mom had some energy and made Pot Roast. YUM YUM YUM! Oh and some amazing apple crisp! IT WAS SO GOOD! I COULD EAT THE WHOLE PAN! So of course we stayed there way to late and got home way to late and got to bed way to late. So it was really hard for both of us to get going this morning. I am still yawning. Blah. I better try and stay home some this week or I may end up getting sick. I don't want to do that before our anniversary weekend! We are going to have a lot of fun! We are going to Wisconsin again for apples! So I will get to make us a delicious Apple Crisp!

Well we are 2 very busy people. I guess I can't decide what better. I love being busy but I miss my house and my couch and my puppies!

Well since I last wrote we have been all over the world and back! OK so not that far but geese!

So I wrote last on Monday, I can't remember back that far but I don't think I got to sit on my couch a little bit!

I just remembered. I helped Cassy paint for the new baby! But I still got some couch time!

Tuesday was a busy busy busy day. Mom had 2 appointments we had to get her too on top of work. Luckily I am able to leave work and come back. So in the morning I worked for about 2 hours and then went and picked her up. Took her to her appointment, worked for another hour or so, then picked her up. She hadn't been out of the house much so we went "Shopping" at Walgreens. She got a few unnecessary things cause she could. Then we went and grabbed some lunch and headed back to her place. I had to get back to work. So when Mike got off work he picked her up and took her to another appointment and I then met them at Grandma Morse's for a visit. That was nice, she had her carpets cleaned so she was showing them off. Looked nice!

After that we had to go get a box to ship Dad's guitar in. So Mom and I went to Bob's Guitar's and got a box. Mike met us back at Mom and Dad's house where he worked on Laura's I Pod and Lap Top and Laura and I got him (and us) some dinner! So we ended up staying there most of the evening but it was fun!

Wednesday was Chicken night in Readlyn! YUM! Ok so I'm skipping this week because I'm getting warn out. But yum! We ended up staying up there for quite a while visiting with friends etc. it was fun!

Thursday night we decided we should stay home and do nothing because we were going to have such a busy weekend. Then my mom mentioned how dad hadn't gotten any goodies in the mail yet to I just had to make some cookies! So instead I went to walmart got the stuff and made some cookies! I was able to sit down about 9:45 then I went to bed at 10:00. So Thursday for me was out the window.

Friday is a good day. I work til 3:30 then go home! Well Mom had a physical therapy appointment to get to! So I took her! It was ok because I got to see her and had some things to deliver her from Wal Mart. So I took her to the appointment then back to her place. Where I rushed out so I could get home for dinner! I was starving! Well we couldn't decide what to get to we went to Waverly to find something. After driving around for and hour we ended up at the first place I suggested! Bremer Diner. I LOVE THE SALAD! We then headed home to hit the hay because Mikey had to work on Saturday morning and Cassy and I had to get up for garage sales!

Saturday! I didn't' want to wake up, I hit the snooze button and never heard another alarm go off. Until...Cassy and Cornia came pounding on my windows at 7 am! They got me right outta bed! Last time I had to wake them up! Haha! We weren't nearly as successful this time but it wasn't a total bust! If I had kids who needed clothes it would have been heaven! When Mike got home from work, he and I had to "re" garage sale. He found one thing but was pretty disappointed. So we went up to the bar to watch the football game and eat lunch. They have such good food it's hard to resist! We were supposed to go to the Hockey Game Saturday night but we got lazy in the afternoon and didn't want to do much. So when Adam and Cassy invited us over for Beer Can Chicken and Corn on the Cobb, we couldn't say no! We had fun! We ate and ate then we played Trivial pursuit! The boys kicked our butts for the first time! It was fun anyway! After that we just kinda headed home, we both fell asleep on the couch until I woke up at about 2am.

Sunday we were really planning on being lazy and not doing anything. Didn't pan out. Lucky for us though, Uncle Dave and Auntie Elaine were in town! We went over to Mom's to visit for a while. The boys worked on boy stuff and talked about motorcycles etc. Then we went out to lunch! Well we wandered across the street to peek in the windows of the kitchen shop and Gretchen was there so she let us all in. After that we said good bye to Uncle Dave and Auntie Elaine and headed for home ourselves. I had promised Mike I would bake him Monster Cookies (sorry dad, you don't get them. They have peanut butter) and I had some laundry to do.

Last night I did NOTHING! Hooray! It was fun! I am much more relaxed today that I was yesterday. In fact, I am ready for a nap!

Well Happy Monday all! It is a beautiful day today! I am so glad to see the sunshine! No more rain for a while! (I hope) I didn't take one picture this weekend! How odd for me. I also had an odd weekend!

Friday as you read before was not a good day for me. After Mike got off work we went to Wal-mart for some things for mom and for us. After we got back to her place we ate some dinner and then Mike and I headed home. We rented some movies and were in bed by 11. Saturday we woke up to go to the bar for the football game. There were free hot wings so we couldn't say no. I was feeling a little better too. While we were the Adam and Cassy joined us. Also the owners of the bar also own a catering business. They asked Mike and I if we would like to help cater a wedding that evening for about 4 hours. We agreed, it payed good! So that meant postponing our dinner with mom but we can always use extra money. So we planned on going over to her place after we worked for cake and a bon fire. We had fun at the wedding it was so beautiful. I love weddings so much, everyone is always so happy. It was a lot of fun for me to see the dress and flowers etc. We worked our tails off but time just flew by. We went home and Mom and the rest of her house hold wasn't feeling well so we decided to stay home and watch another movie and go to bed early again!

Sunday we slept in and enjoyed it. We got up and got going. We headed to town and spent some time with our family's. Good weekend!!

Here's the deal with my face

Yeah so here's the deal with my face. It's numb! I had an abscessed tooth and need a root canal but thank goodness for Novocain!! I fell much better but now have an upset tummy again. WHY ME?? Well they got the pain away but I have to go back in 2 weeks for a root canal. Then I will have to go back like a week after that for a filling like thing in the hole. Then I will need a crown. WHY ME?? I am too anxious to go to the dentist! Oh well. At least the pressure has been relieved and I am feeling better! :) I'm sure I will blog about the next time that I have to go to the dentist! Only cause it sucks!!

Normally, fridays are my favorite days....

So normally Fridays are my favorite day of the week. I get to work through my lunch and am off work by 3:30 to start my weekend! This Friday is different. I got a tooth ache yesterday and it progressed to being very painful by yesterday afternoon. And it kept me up most of the night. I don't go to the dentist, my work doesn't offer dental insurance and frankly it's way to expensive for me to go. I'm still trying to pay off root canals from 3-4 years ago. So I broke down at 2 am and called my dentists office, left them a message and now I am heading there soon. This pain is almost unbearable to the point of tears. Also I have had an upset stomach for a few days and haven't really eaten much since wed's supper. I tried to eat some banana this morning with some ibuprofen. Bad idea! So I am at home, there would be no way I could work I can't even sleep! Poor Me!

Also, please pray for my friend Myndi's family. Her grandpa is very ill and sounds like will be passing any day. This is not easy for them (nor anyone) so please pray that he will go soon. He is not well. Brain Cancer.

Tuesdays get better!

I Voted!

There was a big issue in Readlyn, well the Wapsie Valley School District yesterday.

Whether or not to build a new school, and in doing so either increasing sales tax by 1% or raising property taxes $2.05 - $4.05 per $1,000 assessed value of your home for the next 2-3 years. They would be building the new elementary school in Readlyn so I think of Corina and our future children. Apparently there is one bathroom in the school and not nearly enough room for coats let alone children! I also got Mike to vote! I didn't ask him how he voted but I'm pretty sure I know! Neither of us are that keen on increasing our property tax that much but do believe in the school system so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

The 1 % sales tax passed 60% but the property tax was last at 59% when I went to bed last night.

So my whole night didn't revolve around voting! We went into Tripoli to eat at "Somewhere Else Cafe" but it was closed so we ended up with pizza from Godfathers...gas station Godfathers isn't too bad! We also drove around trying to get ideas for the exterior of the house. We plan on building a front porch next spring/summer and were trying to get some ideas. Looks like Mom will need to bring her sketch pad over and park it on the sidewalk and draw me some ideas! :)

Now I really Hate Tuesdays!!!

OK, this is how it goes we have 4 alarm clocks in our bedroom, plus each of our cell phones that have 3+ alarms on them!!! And I still managed to wake up at 7:30 and only because Mike called me 2 times to wake up! I have to be to work at 7:30 and works about 20-25 mins away from home!!!! So I got up, got a shower, got the dogs outside and back inside (a whole other story) and got to work by 8:05! Wow I rock! And I didn't drive any faster than normal! Turns out Mike overslept this morning too! Haha! But not as much as me, he was still on time to work! SO then after I got to work it was overly busy and of course everyone was helpless! It's been a day to remember! :) Hope everyone is have a good one!
