The Tire has decided...NO SWIMMING FOR YOU!

BLOW OUT!!!!!!!!

So I had so much fun NOT swimming yesterday!! It was really strange, Cassy picked my up at my house after work and was commenting to Mike at how much she hates driving her husband Adam's truck. And we were happily driving down the road making faces at people (yes mom i still do that!) when the truck started to wobble and I said "i think there's something wrong with your tire" so we figured we would check it out when we got to her aunts house (where we swim). Then i opened my big mouth, "wouldn't it suck if we had a tire blow out" like 3 mins later POP!!! I was like oh crap pull over, which Cassy was already doing! (can we say CONTROL FREAK!!) Anyway, so we got out to assess the damage. WHAT A BIG HOLE!! So girls that we may be, we got back in to the air conditioned truck (did i mention it was like 100 degrees and we were in the middle of the freakin highway??) and i called Mikey. While we were waiting for him we decided to take some fun pictures of the incident so we could remember this forever! Who would want to you ask??? Me and Cassy! So Mikey came to rescue us so we thought. But no such luck, he couldn't get the lug nut so loosen. Not even budge, in fact he almost broke the tire iron! So we contemplated what else to do, who to call etc. Then i got smart, we have AAA!!! So i called them to come save us!! It only took them 30 mins the get there. First thing that happens, trucker guy trys his expensive neat-o tool on it that never fails and BAM...he breaks his tool and lands on his knee and starts bleeding! So he calls another trucker man to come save us. 10 mins later he appears with a battery powered impact tool thingy. DOESN'T WORK!!!!!!!!!! So in the end we had to toe it to Cassy's house and Mike and Adam worked on the tire and eventually removed it with ease (after about 30 more mins!) So i never went swimming but i was drenched in sweat!

Next thing is that Stephenie surprised us and came to town. We were all starving by this point (8:30) so i cooked us a quick dinner. We sat around and talked for a while, listened to some music and then i got a grand idea and broke out the guitar, tried to learn a new song, failed and then just played the ones i love! We had so much fun singing along! Sounds goofy of us but it was so much fun! The only problem with this is the fact that we stayed up until like 1am! Yeah and both Mike and I had to get up for work! I was so tired i over slept by about 35 mins! I couldn't keep my eyes open at work but thanks to Cassy i have all sorts of energy! She went and got me Starbucks to liven me up! AND IT WORKED WONDERS!!

I'm so glad that Monday is finally over! Hooray! IT'S FREAKIN HOT OUT!! But the good news is...dun dun dun dun...WE GET CENTRAL AIR ON THURSDAY!!!!!! Hip Hip Hooray!! So we have been attempting to live with 2 window units for the past couple months but the way our place is shaped the kitchen NEVER cools down, making it about impossible to cook or do dishes! No fun, no fun at all. But the HELL will soon be ending, yes, it's that HOT. YAY!! And ya know what the even better news is...we don't have to pay for it, the land lord does! hahahaha. That's what he gets for not answering my phone calls big jerk! No, he's really a nice guy when he will return our phone calls etc. So maybe now he will fix our driveway so we quit getting water in the basement! Ruined all my empty boxes! Those were so important! NOT! Yay well I'm off to go swimming with Cassy this evening and also Stephenie decided to make a surprise visit to town so we will be having dinner with her! Yay! I'm sure I will be writing more soon!

Hooray for Friday, Saturday and oh yes, Sunday!

Holy cow, what a weekend!

So my friend Stephenie has been coming home from Iowa City on weekends and has been kinda living at our house! Anyway we had planned to have a relaxing night at home on Friday, Mike would grill steak and we were going to watch a movie and actually get to bed at a decent time! Why are we always wrong???? Well it ended up raining but Mike ventured out and grilled anyway! It took forever for the steak to cook and by that time we had drank a whole bottle of wine on empty stomachs! It made for a very interesting evening! In the end, a few of our other friends ended up coming over to visit and we had a late night!

Saturday

So this should have been a great day, it's Sturgis Falls weekend and we had planned to go downtown and enjoy the festivities along with a 5 year high school reunion for us. Unfortunately Mike had to change the breaks on his mothers car and so we had a late start to our day. So we met up with Stephenie and headed the reunion, I didn't realize until i got there that it was an unofficial reunion at a bar and i didn't really know many people or care to see most of them again! I guess that's a pretty negative way to look at it, but really it was not much fun and we only stayed for about 20 mins or so. After we left we walked to the Sturgis festivities ended up using the Porto pottys and left. To many people!

So we headed home but my friend Myndi called and her and her husband were at Carlos O' Kelly's and lonely so we went and had supper with them. It was fun other than the crappy service and crappy waitress and crappy food! Oh well it was still fun. So finally we were headed home. For a relaxing evening you may ask?? Or course not! Stephenine and my long lost friend Lisa came over! We hung out and talked until 4:30 am! Mike even stayed up with us! It was fun but made for a very sleepy Sunday. I think we finally got to relax Sunday. I layed on the couch and watched movies! All i did was shower, do laundry and sweep! Yay for Sundays! Yay for HBO! Yay for on demand!

So it's finally Monday, time to start looking forward to next weekend...were goin MUDDIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hip hip hooray i had yesterday off work! Surprise for me well kinda. Mike informed me he had Tues and Thurs off this week on Monday afternoon...so i finagled my way in to getting it off! Just Tuesday though darnit! So we decided to go visit Stephenie in Iowa City! And drive like crazy people in the pooring down rain! And then get stuck behind a stupid state trooper for about 60 miles who was of course driving right at or just under the speed limit at all times! CREEP!

Once we got there we had alot of fun! She showed us her appartment and we went to Outback Steakhouse (we don't have those in CF/WLOO) and had a bloomin' onion! YUM! Then we went to DQ and i had a peanut buster parfait...by the way...yuck! i don't like whole peanuts in my ice cream any more! To bad! Then we went back to her appartment and just kinda chilled till she was falling asleep on us and we left! It was so much fun and the drive home was much better than the drive there!

Yesterday out Nephew Shane came over and we grilled out hamburgers and onions! Mikes mom joined us and we had alot of fun! And the burgers were awesome thanks to the man with many talents...Mikey! After that we pretty much just hung out with the neighbor and watched the sun go down. Poor me had to go to bed early so i could get up because yes i had to go back to work today! POOPY! Mikey is stuck at home all alone without his wifey, what ever will he do!

Happy Monday! Busy Monday! It's already Monday???!!!! To make you all jelouse I am sitting here eating Famous Daves BBQ! I love working for doctors!

We had one BIG weekend!

Friday was only the begining! It started with a very cranky Mike, Me, Danny (neighbor) and Stephenie (Friend) going to see dad in concert! WOW! It was so much fun! He even put me in a song he wrote! Big Jerk made me cry!! After the concert we jetted over to La Porte City (30 min drive) to watch the La Porte Days Fireworks!! They were so awesome! We were ooooin and ahhhhhin and singing the star spangled banner! HAHA! After that we all went back to our house and just hung out listening to music etc.

Saturday, I slept oh til about 10:30! I love sleeping until I wake up, it's my favorite! After a while Stephenie and I decided to go to the local pool, BIG MISTAKE! It was cool but PACKED! Duh lets go to the pool at 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon! HAHA! It was OK! After that we got cleaned up and we went to a retirement party for all of like 25 mins. Think of how old we are, do we know anyone? NO! So we had some food and drink, said hello, signed the guest book and left! HAHA! Next stop was Holly's graduation party. Whoo hoo, people I know are already graduating College! WOW! We stayed for quite a while catching up on things. Next was on to HuHot! Yum Yum! We ate as much as we possibly could with Tony and Stephenie! Finally we headed home, hoping for and early night. Not gonna happen! We stayed up til at least 2 talking!

Sunday, this is the day to relax and boy did we try. We slept in and ate left over pizza and then in a wild panic we realized we had to go to wal-mart because the cat was outta food and Mikes clippers were broken and and and we had to be ready and at Mom and Dads for diner at 5! It was 3:30! HAHA But we are good! Mike even got a hair cut and we were only about 15 mins late, and Laura was later! haha! We had some awesome Burritos and Tacos! After we ate Mike almost immediately fell asleep! HAHA! Just when we were finally stating to relax at home Mike's mom called to let us know Shane (our nephew) was at her house and we should go visit! So we brought the popcorn we had just made to eat and watch a movie and ran down the street! We visited for a while and he came back to our house and we showed him some wedding pics and tuff truck and muddin pics! Then he remembered he didn't know how to get home! And he didn't really know how he got there! haha! Oh to be 16 again (sometimes I drive like that!!) Needless to say we didn't get home until after 10:30! And we were still workin' on laundry! So sleep came late for us! I didn't wanna get up today but we did! Having Mikey home in the morning really screws up my schedule because i have to make sure i'm in and out of the shower in time for him to be but he leaves about 25 mins before me...make sense?? haha! I was ready 25 mins early this morning and didn't know what to do with myself! So i sat on the couch and petted Miss Molly and then Mike called to inform me of an accident on the road we take to work and it was closed so i left early and took the round-a-bout why to get there and was still 15 mins early to work! What a morning! All before 7:30! I'm finally awake enough to write this so everyone get lots of sleep this week!

I was wrong

I was wrong to assume that I already had plans for Saturday Night...but i did/do! My friend Manda got a new apartment and she hosting a party, so we are goin! I'm excited to see her new place! I'm glad for her! OK so I'm sure this is all so interesting to you, it may not be now but i will exaggerate on Monday! haha!

Concerts, Retirements, Graduations, Oh My!

We are looking forward to a busy weekend! An exciting and busy weekend! 1St off, Dad's concert is Friday! I'm so excited! I think Mike's Mom and Aunt are comming with if everything goes as planned! Also my friend Stephenie is commin too! YAY! I'm asuming after that we will just hang out at out house for the rest of the night. Saturday is the crazy day. As of this moment we are going swimming at the local "new" pool with water slides and stuff! WHoo hoo i think i'm trying to get sunburned! Depending on what time we get done, we either go to a retirement party first or a graduation party. We WILL be atteneding both but not sure in which order yet. Then we still have Saturday night ahead of us, No plans yet...yeah right! Then as we all know, Sunday is Fathers day! So I get to see my Daddy! YAY! I'm sure my Monday i'll have lots of new pics to post! Love You All and Thanks for reading this!

We stumbled upon fireworks after the baseball game! Seems we do this every year! So we tried out the fireworks feature on my digital camera. I think they look way cool! Yay Mikey!

Last night was really fun! I acctually got to spend some alone time with my husband and i realized were boering! HAHA it was still a lot of fun! 1st we went to the Bucks game (local team). Then I remembered something I remember every year...They Suck! Haha it's still fun to cheer them on and drink the $1 beers! Oh and i really like to boo the umps!

We left the game a littl early and happened upon some really good fireworks! It was cool cause we just pulled over on the side of the road and sat on top of the Blazer and watched! Well i watched, Mikey took lots and lots of pictures! HAHA!

What a weekend we had! Friday I got off work at 11:30 whoo hoo! I picked up Mama and took her to lunch at Los Cabos! We had avocado tostadas! YUM! We had a nice visit! Then i went and visited my Grandma and Then i went and picked up my baby from her long day at the groomers. Poor baby was mad at me!!! HAHA she looks beautiful! Later in the afternoon Mike and I went swimming with Cassy. It was a lot sunnier than usual, we both got the sun burn! Just slightly toasted not fried crispy! After swimming we went and ate dinner at Junies truck stop in Elk Run. Yum Yum Chicken strips, the most entertaining thing about it was our waitress thought Corina (Cassy's 9 month old) was a boy even though she was wearing a purple dress! HA! After dinner Mike and I headed for home and then his buddy from work called (Mark) and we picked him up ran to HyVee and then finally off to home! My long lost friend Stephanie came over, i hadn't seen her since my wedding! It was cool because one of Mike's old friends came over and they played a few games of pool. It was so much fun, Stephanie and I sat up talking until I think 2:30 in the morning and of course we had a cold front that night and we could see our breath when we parted ways!

Saturday was supposed to be one crazy day for us. We were supposed to get up EARLY and go to garage sales and a big furniture sale with Mike's mom, but when she called to wake us Mike informed her we were just going to sleep! HAHA! We finally got up about noon! I love sleeping! Then we kinda lazed around for a little while but our day was just beginning! We had to be at a wedding reception! I love weddings and love and all that junk! I guess I'm just mushy! Anyway we had a nice time at the reception, it was a really laid back pool party. Lot's of kids around a lot of people getting pushed in the pool unexpectedly (i hid!)! We were having so much fun and wanted to stay but we were needed elsewhere. Out good friend Aaron (groomsman) was having a birthday bash! So we went and enjoyed MORE food! I have a lot of fun, Aaron's girlfriend Abby and I get along really well. For some reason we always have something to talk about! For the first time in most likely 6 months we were home BEFORE 12 on a Sat night! I guess all the socializing really wore us out!

Sunday I was up bright and early but decided to let My Mikey sleep in, who knew it would be until 11:30. Ha! I got to lay in bed and watch movies though yay! We had a pretty lazy afternoon. We did some much needed cleaning and again lazed around the house! About 3ish Mikey got busy making some decals and again Carrie just layed on the couch! I never seem to have time to do that anymore so i really enjoyed myself! So did Molly! We went to dinner at Mom and Dad's and ate ourselves silly! YUM! She made 2 different kinds of Manacotti and they were by far the best meal I've had in a while! OK since the last time we ate there! We had a nice time just sipping wine (yum yum) and catching up!

I think that pretty much sums up our weekend! Hope everyone enjoyed theirs too! Id love to hear about it!

It's Friday, It's Friday LALALA IT'S FRIDAY!

Happy Friday to all and to all a good weekend!

No one would believe how happy both Mike and I are that it's Friday! Yay! Today is a big day for Daddy and puppy. Mikey had to have a "stupid" physical for work this morning and Miss Molly Mae is getting her hairs all cut off! Yay, no more stinky dog! Were trying the groomer my Mama uses i'm sure all will be just fine, i just worry about her all day! I know she's really scared, probably shaken'! But i'm sure at this moment she's very happy because she's with Grandma Morse! She just loves loves loves Grandma Morse! And i think Grandma Morse loves her just as much! HAHA We had a good night last night for the most part. We went SWIMMIN'! After that my friend Myndi and her 3 year old son Jaxin came over and we played! We spun in circles until we were dizzy and then spun some more! After that we orderd pizza and watched "Over the Hedge" (I love on demand!) The only problem was we didn't get to bed until LATE! Haha I overslept for 1/2 hour this morning, sucks to be me!

Yay! All I can say is that it's Thursday and it's almost the weekend and I only have to work for 1/2 day tomorrow!!!!!! YAY! Last night was eventful! When I got off work, Mike wanted to take a nap so we took a quick one and then went and looked at a Muddin' truck for me me all me! It is awesome! We are so buying it! It's an 80 something GMC S15 black rusty and all mine!! Well almost. We arranged to make payments but my goal is to have it the 1st weekend in July! I'm naming her "Dirty Girl" and putting pink cow spots all over her! Yes, Mike will be allowed to drive her but will he want to???

Wow boering day # 2!

Wow, I don't think I have ever been to boerd in my life! And it also sucks that my tummy is groweling! HA! And all i have for lunch is some left over mac and cheese damnit!

Last night we had a good time! No I didn't go swimming, but I did go for a bike ride and a walk with our neighbor Danny, and his 2 kids Makenzie (7 almost 8!) and Keagan (4)! Annnnnnnnd I can't forget, dancing in the yard with Kenzie! Hahaha We had fun. It was so cute because Keagan can't quite ride a bike by himself yet so he rode his battery powered 4 wheeler! (he's only 4) It's so loud and slow! But somehow everytime we raced he won! I wonder how that happened? ;) After our bike ride we decied we needed to go for a long walk, Kenzie and I raced that's when it was official...I DON'T RUN! hahaa We looked at nature and deer and threw rocks in the river (very important)! At this point it was kinda muddy so Keagan just kicked off his flip flops and dug his toes right in. YUCK! Haha! After are walk we just had to stop at the park and swing! So much fun until Keagan jumped off and landed right in the path of another swinger then "bam" right in the back! That was not fun! Everyone was so tired because we didn't get home until 9:30! What a fun night, can't wait to do it again!

Boredem Queen!

So I'm posting another blog, mainly because I'm at work and sooo boerd! So I guess I will just tell you all about what we did last night! After work I headed straight over to Cassy's so we could go swimming! YAY! When I got there I got to feed Corina (8 month old)! YAY! So eventually (like 45 mins after we originally planned on it :)) We went SWIMMIN!!!! I LOVE SWIMMIN!!!! It was a lot of fun! Mikey wasn't feeling the greatest so he stayed home and played with the neighbor...boys will be boys! I finally pulled myself away from the pool to see my husband, it's weird for me not to see him right when i get home! I was so hungry that i ate and entire frozen pizza BY MY SELF! And was NOT full! I have never ever done that before! I just hope that i burned soooooo many calories swimmin i had to make up for it! We spent the rest of the night just hiding inside from the rain! I was BORING! HA! Well I'm going swimmin again tonight! The weather is beautiful and hopefully I'll be brown not burnt! So now i'm just sitting here at work waiting for my lunch break which today is much needed and enjoying some leftover chinese food from our lunch yesterday...tick tock tick tock...

One fun Weekend after another!

Happy Monday! NOT! I am so not ready to be back to work. We gotta stop having so much fun on the weekends cause we never want to come back to work and when we continue the fun into the weekdays we never get enough sleep!

So our weekend began with a really easy goin' Friday night just hangin' out at home Mike was making some decals for some rednecks who like to spend money! YIPPEE! And I was just playin the the computer checking my e-mail when we got a very exciting call, it was out friends Cassy and Adam wanting us to go SWIMMING! I love swimming! Ofter a rousing night swimming we deiced to go eat at my favorite restaurant off all time...HuHot for you almost Canadians that is a Mongolian grill, it's really cool cause it's in a way a buffet. You get a bowl that you take and fill with your choice of raw meats, noodles, veggies, and then get to make a combination of a yummy yummy sauce! Then you take it to this big, huge grill and a bunch of sweaty guys with stripped pants cook your food! It's awesome! Then you eat it with chop sticks (well i do)! I did try some Saki (no idea how to spell that...help!) It smelled like butt and tasted like vodka! AHHH My mouth and throat and stomach were ON FIRE! I thought I was going to puke! Anyway, I had a lot of fun and wanted to go back the next day but Mike asked my if I could give it a rest for a few days, I had to agree...he's my husband!

Saturday was fun, Mike had to get up EARLY and be to work at 6, can we say grumpy? But luckily he's was off by 9 and we got to go garage saleing! Hooray! I got 2 new purses for $1! I love sales! Then his mom joined us for lunch at the Maid Rite! Yum yum! Then we went home to relax for a while. Later we went to Wal-Mart yay! and hy-vee. Some friends came over Saturday night a we had a little pow wow (I can say that because I married a injun!) in the back yard. It was really cool cause we got this small tiki torches about 2 ft tall and made a circle. It really was cool, even at midnight the whole yard was lit up!

Sundays are supposed to be relaxing (so I've heard!) Not for us! We did get to sleep in but as soon as we woke up we had a visit from the mother in law! Her phone wasn't working so we had to save the day, but by the time we got to her house it was fixed. So we went shopping in her freezer. On our way home Mike's buddy Tony called and Mike picked him up so they could hang out. Well of course I'm included...boring! I watched the end of the movie "She's the Man" Waaaay funny! Then we all got invited to our other friends Brandon and Jen's for dinner and a movie. We watched "Stompin' the Yard"...way cool we all want to start out own dance team! HAHA! Those boy's have some pretty good moves!

Anyway like I said...Happy Monday! Hope you all have a good and quick week!!

Mike and I have had a very uneventful week for once! Hip Hip Hooray! Except we really didn't get to see each other much! Thanks to my friend Cassy! Cassy and I have decided that this is the summer for us to get in shape! Thank goodness I have finally found a friend that calls me everyday and keeps me motivated! (and keeps me away from the french fries...yum!) We also decided it's WAAAAAAAY to hot already to go walking plus lucky me my foot has been hurtin'! But, Cassy's Aunt has a very nice swimming pool, so we have gone swimming the last 3 nights. If you know me, you know I'm a fish and just LOVE to swim! We were there for 3 hours last night! On Wednesday we got rained out, well actually Hurricaned out! That's what it seemed like when we were in the pool, waves over me head! I will keep you updated on if I actually stick to it this time! Mikey has been busy making lots and lots of decals for the Rednecks we were muddin' with last weekend. It's cool because they pay cash! he he No big plans for the weekend yet I think were going out to eat a HuHot (yum yum)! And knowing us I'm sure we will have some exciting story to tell!
