Happy Monday!

I'm coming off a great weekend High!

Wow! Friday was great! Saturday was Great! Sunday was the greatest!

Friday was a Mikey and Carrie day! We hung out just the 2 of us! Well, I worked my tail off at 2 jobs and when I got home my loving husband was napping! So i finally woke him up because i was so starving and we went and got Subway for us and Jeni. We scarfed it! SOOOOOO GOOOOOD! After that we decided to go to my parents house to get some paperwork on a house! And we chatted with them for quite a while! It was nice. After that we headed to the Casino to try to win us some money! Huh...didn't work! Ahh well! We got to bed at a decent time! Well I did anyway! Haha we decided to watch a movie but I fell asleep during the opening credits, I don't even remember the name of the movie!! I must be getting old! :)

Saturday:

CARRIE'S HOUSE WAS MESSY!!!! Yes, Carrie slept in really late on Saturday and was sitting in her living room when she woke up, looking around and almost had a panic attack! So we CLEANED! Saturday afternoon. Mike also started some really really good Maid Rite's in the slow cooker! Mmm...hungry! The only problem was, we were hungry and it was going to be several hours before it was done. So we had Chinese! Hehe! After dinner, Myndi came over to hang out! We had girl time! Mike ran off to play with Tony. After a bit, Laura came over too! It was definitely girl time! We decided to go to a bar, The Cypress in downtown Cedar Falls. It's pretty much the only bar that I will go into. We know the bartender! Haha! We had some quality girl talk, that's for sure!

Sunday:

This was my most favoritest day of the weekend! Hehe! I got to wear a costume and play with a lady bug!

We went Trick or Treating with Corina in Readlyn! It was so much fun! I dressed up like a mouse! It was really fun! We went for the whole 2 hours and got Corina (mommy and daddy) stocked up on candy for the rest of the year! We had so much fun! And when we were done Trick or Treating it was time for the big kids to play. We went to a haunted house and on a hay ride! I think the haunted house was really scary, but i was the only one! I don't like it when they put on the scary masks or make-up and get right in your face, or follow you around etc. But it was still fun! Then we had an awesome dinner of Chicken on the grill and mac and cheese! It was awesome! Finally our fun filled weekend was done and we headed home.

I had a great time but I am worn out! Hoping to update you one the house soon!!!!

House Update!

Well we recieved a counter offer on our house on Monday, not what we were hoping for so last night, Wednesday, we made our counter offer! Wish us luck! We don't want to go much higher that what we countered and I am getting really excited about this house, making plans in my head, virtually buying paint and furniture! I will be really dissapointed if we have to go searching again! So like I said, wish us luck!

Fun Weekend!

Mike, Jeni, and I all went to Kiefers pumpkin patch to get more pumpkins!

I carved mine like an owl but I didn't get any good pics of it yet, when I do, you KNOW I will post them!
Happy Birthday Lisa!

Little Miss Green Jeans!
Myndi and I are so pimped out! Check out our Grills yo!
My baby girls playin in the leaves!
Peanut, just look at that face! Soooo adorable!

We had one heck of a weekend!! SO much fun!

I would call it our "Friend Filled Weekend!"

Aren't they always?? NO! Ok yes but friends we haven't seen for a while weekend!

Friday:
Was a long day!

I worked at the office until 2 and then headed right over to the Kitchen Shop! And worked there until 5:30ish. It made for a long day for Carrie! On the way home I stoped for a "healthy" dinner of Big Mac's! You know...2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun! yum yum yum! After we got home our Friend Lisa came over, it was her Birthday weekend so we had to have a "party weekend" as I was calling it. So we went to the casino to see if she was lucky. And she was! The casino has scratch off tickets for free, and you can win like key chains, gift certificates to the restaurants, and free slot play! Lisa won $100 in free slot play! Sounds great right?? It's kinda sketchy, you have to play the whole amount there but what ever you win off the $100 you get to keep! Anyway she ended up winning like $80 or something so it was all good! What a great b-day present to yourself! After that we got a call from an old friend who was at our house. So we headed home and hung out until like 3am or something crazy like that!

Saturday:
Pumpkin Day!

I waited all week for pumpkin day! I was so excited to go to another pumpkin patch! Why am I obsessed with them you say? I DON'T KNOW!
We picked up Mike's mom and headed out to the pumpkin patch. It was fun to re-visit the one we both had gone to when we were little. They paint faces on the pumpkins of Disney characters etc. Then it was time to pick out our pumpkins so I decided to get two small one's for the doggy's and then Mike and I got larger ones.
When we got back it was finally time for us to mow Mike's mom's lawn. Which normally is like a 10 min deal but since we waited so long to mow it, we had to bag all the grass. And since Mike's mom's allergies are so bad she couldn't breath and had to go inside, so I got to bag the happy grass myself! Yay! haha! Well Peanut and Molly helped me by playing and rolling in it until they turned green! It was so funny! But honestly I wasn't laughing because of the back breaking labor! Well when we finally got done it was dark out and I was tired but it was Lisa's birthday and we had to celebrate! So Myndi, Tony, and Lisa came over! It was so much fun! Mike and Tony played with these really cool remote control cars and us girls put in our grills and took pictures and ate cheese dip until we couldn't eat anymore! We laughed so hard for hours, I stared to lose my voice by the end of the night, 3:30 am! So needless to say after 2 late nights Mike and I slept in reeealllllllly late on Sunday and regretted it later!

Sunday:
The day of Un Rest

Since we stayed up so late Tony stayed overnight! So when Mike got up he made us an awesome breakfast! Complete with home made blueberry waffles!!! It was awesome! I guess I should let Mike sleep in more often! But we sure payed for sleeping in with a short day! I finally got my pumpkin carved though! Derek came over for a while in the afternoon and helped me carve Peanut's pumpkin! But the problem was, the small pumpkins that I bought were really really hard! So thank goodness he's so strong because he had to use all his muscles to carve the dang thing! So needless to say, I'm leaving the other small one to sit a little longer before I try and carve it! Other than all this playing we did, we didn't' accomplish anything! That night I watched 3 hours of John and Kate plus 8! You will know what I mean if you've seen this cute show! But if you have, I don't really care for Kate! Haha!

Monday:

About 9:30 last night our realtor called us, there's been a counter offer but the seller doesn't want to pay closing costs! So I think we have some thinking on our hands! I will keep you updated!

Have a great fall week!

Whats This???????

Whats this pile of papers?? Hummm???
This is the Offer for our house!!!!!! This is so exciting! I just can't wait to find out if it's accepted or not! The only problem is...
The people who owned the house before us used a bank that is out of state, and since the house was foreclosed on we get to make our offer to the bank! SO this means we get to wait longer than normal to find out what they have to say! Now we really low balled them so I have a feeling were going to have some back and forth before we get a price we can handle, be we really don't want to go much higher than what we offered because the house needs a little lovin' before it's our happy home!
But if everything goes as planned we can move in before Thanksgiving! YAY! Most likely it wont so I'm thinking we will move in more like my birthday or Christmas. ANY of those times is OK with me! I am so ready to move out of our tiny little place! It's always messy because we have NO place to put anything unless we want to keep it in boxes in the basement! Which all got wet thanks to the rain, soooo....
Mom, we need boxes!

It's the most wondeful time of the year!

We got pumpkins! And we carved them! Carrie's is the Kitty and Mikey's is the vampire! The little one is the kids! hehe!

Family Photo! 10/13/07

Left to Right

Peanut, Carrie, Mikey, Molly, and Kenny is hiding behind a pumpkin in the window!

This is Carrie and a BIG cow! We went to eat at the Brown Bottle Downtown Waterloo, and this hangs in the lobby of the Russel Lampson building! I fell in love, yes, I would hang this in the living room!

OK, what does this look like to you?

I think it looks like a giant! I think she's going to eat me! AHHH!

I LOVE FALL!
It's my favorite time of year, and I decided I must be a huge weirdo because I like raking the leaves, well at least once anyway! I know we need to rake again already but it's a lot of work, fun work!
We had a really busy weekend!
Friday night Mike and I went out to eat at The Brown Bottle in downtown Waterloo. I had never been there before that I remembered anyway! It was a really neat building! Above pictured is me with the huge cow picture! I love it! I wanna take it home and hang it in my tiny living room! hum...maybe I should start painting cows!
After out HUGE dinner we went and visited with Mikes mom and we all went to the casino! We wanted to win free stuff! And we did, key chains! haha! That was fun, after that we just headed home and went off to bed.
Saturday
I started working at the Kitchen Shop with my mom! It was an awesome job! NO STRESS!! It was great but what a long day for me on a Saturday. 10-5 but really it was almost 5:30 when I left! I guess Mike did "guy things" while I was at work! haha! Non-productive guy things! After I got home we headed out to the Pumpkin Patch! I was so excited to go! When we got there the stupid boys made us park over by the scary haunted house with the icky guy with the chain saw and scary mask on. So we had to climb through the woods to get to the pumpkins. Then they decided they were going to start charging for the hayrides! Girr! That's like my favorite part! Also all the big piles of pumpkins were through the gate that you had to pay the $6 to get through! But we still found good pumpkins in the pile they had outside the gate. We also picked out the small pumpkins for the kids. Then we headed home to carve them! Yay! It was so much fun! I really really like carving pumpkins and I plan to get more so I can carve more! After we carved pumpkins and took our family photo, Mike's mom came by with Chili ingredients! So Laura came over and helped me make chili! And she helped me eat it! It was soooooooooooooooooo good! We had fun playin with the puppies and just hangin out!
Sunday
I had a puppy play date! My friend Holly brought her Shitzu mix over to play with my girls! Of course it was raining so we had to play in side! Her dogs name is Moe and she didn't like Peanut very much! It was cute, Peanut keep getting her to play with her and Moe would bark or run away and hide! Then Moe entertained her self with sitting at the top of the stairs listening to Mike and Brandon in the basement, she ventured as far as the 1st step but she said that's as far as I go! It was so cute! We had a lot of fun, and so did the girls! I think we are planning on doing it again soon!
All in All we had a fun weekend! I can't wait to do it again!

Corina's Pumpkin that I helped decorate! Yay! He's a cool dude!

Peanut butt heads new hair cut! I only refer her to as a butt head because she got me up at 5:40 AM again!

I will write this blog forwards!!

We had a really really great anniversary weekend! Hooray!

Friday:

Started out on a blah note. Peanut got a hair cut! Yes that is the same dog! She is so cute, now she looks like the puppy she is! I think she has more energy now to! OH NO! Mike was taking and nap when I got home and he didn't want to get up until supper was ready! So I got to cook, yay...

After dinner we invited Laura and Lisa over for a while it was fun!

Saturday:

Saturday was a great day! We slept in and Mike made us an awesome breakfast! We spent the the rest of the early afternoon watching movies! It was fun! When we finally got going we went to a wine tasting/fall festival with Cassy and Corina! It was really fun it was in downtown Dysart. Each business had a different Iowa Winery set up inside for tasting wine and beer and munching on awesome dips and cheese and nachos! Also they had fun activities set up, drawings for Halloween prizes, Color a pumpkin, and hay rides! We did it all! It was really fun! It was cute, they had a tent set up and different local bands were playing music, and these 3 little kids got up there and sang Puff the Magic Dragon at the top of their lungs! The youngest was just up there dancing away and strumming an invisible guitar! It was really fun!

After that we were exhausted and headed home and lazed around for about an hour and decided since we hadn't seen our friends Donny and Tammy and their boys since April, it was about time to make a visit! Luckily when we got there the boys were still awake and ready to play! Cole remembered me the minute he saw me, he got the biggest grin on his face and came running in for a hug! Shay was still as shy as ever but is saying a lot more words, I can't believe he will be 3 in November! We had fun playing with the boys, and after they went to bed we had fun with the big kids to! It was really nice to catch up with them, we were there until 2AM!

Sunday:

Our 1st Anniversary!

We had a really nice day!
I woke up first so I decided to make breakfast! And it was an awesome breakfast! Bacon, southwest hash browns, scrambled eggs, peanut butter toast! Yum! After breakfast Mikey asked me to go apple picking with him! Yay! As Fall is my favorite time of year, driving through the prettiest part of Iowa on our anniversary sounded perfect...except that it poured the entire trip down! And we went through Strawberry Pointe so I could see the giant strawberry but or course there was a detour that took you all over town but NOT past the strawberry! Girr!! Oh well we had a nice trip up to Wisconsin and once we got to about McGregor the sun came out and it was beautiful for picking out apples! We went to 3 orchards, 4 if you count the creepy one that looked like and old hippy commune, that one sold the "organic" apples. Aren't they all organic? We just turned around and drove away from that one! We ended up getting lots off apples and brought back plenty to share! We also got 6 gourds and 4 HUGE potatoes! Oh and 2 honey sticks but we ate them immediately! Yum! After we got all the apples we wanted we stoped by some road side stops to enjoy the view, it was really cool because it was very humid and it was so hazy. Everything looked really cool! As you can see we also stoped at the big apple and took some pictures, then it was off to Pikes Peek! This is always my favorite part of the trip! It's a very cool view and another thunder storm was moving in to we got to watch the lightning from a really cool view! It finally started to rain on us again so we we to Crazy Carl's Silver Dollar for some awesome homemade pizza and beer. I know what a romantic dinner, right?? haha! It defiantly hit the spot! It was fun, we finally headed home at about 7:45 and got to my mom and dad's at 9:45 to pick up the top of our wedding cake! This really sounded like a good idea a year ago, until we tasted the frosting. EWWWWWWWWW but the good news is that frosting must have sealed in the flavour of the cake cause that part is awesome! And after tucking the girls in to bed we finally went to sleep. Yes, this was one first anniversary, one we can re-create every year if we want to!

Growing up?

Yes so I just had a really interesting experience. One of the people who used to make me feel pretty crappy about myself came into our office today. It was a really weird feeling, when you spent so much of your time avoiding a person and then you are faced with them all of a sudden! I was unprepared! And of course he pretends that he was nice to me oh so long ago and asked what I have been up to, me not knowing weather or not to gloat about my marriage to this creep I say "not a lot, how about you?" and he's says "I'm moving to New York and getting married" so i jump in and say "I got married, a year ago on Sunday!!!!" like it's way cooler that I've been married for sooooooo much longer than he has prob. been engaged! Any way he wanted to know who I married and instead of saying his name I show him a picture that's on my desk, of the wedding! Haha I think my face was probably bright red the entire time. I thought we grew outta these feelings of nervousness or being scared someone will look at a giant zit (which i have on my chin) and think bad things about you, just like high school! Needless to say just as he walked out he reached so smoothly into his wallet and pulled out a business card and threw it on my desk. So as he's walkin away instead of looking at the card closely I blurt out "what do you do?" and he's like "Art, I do art." I was speechless...what I really shoulda done is reach into my wallet and pull out one of my business cards and try to sell him some damn signs for his art! Ah well, as I sit here i realize that he is gone, to go to New York and get married and I will go to my happy home and kiss my husband and my puppies and that damn cat and all will be well in my world.

I loves fightin's!!! But please don't arrest me!

Molly and Peanut figured out how to play!! And have been playing non stop ever since!! I am very excited about this because Molly really doesn't play with other dogs, she looks and them and hides behind mama! So yay! But sometimes not so much because the other night we were trying to watch a movie and they were playing so loud we finally had to separate them and calm them down, but as soon as we put them back on the floor, BAM! they were back at it! Haha! It's pretty amusing. I mean from the time I wake up in the morning and let Peanut out of her Kennel it's an instant thing! Well Peanut is getting her hair cut today and I am very excited to see her and will be taking lots and lots of pictures of the girls! Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I know we will, it's our 1 year anniversary on Sunday! Yes! We made it a year!

Bad Peanut Butter! No Wonder G'pa is alergic to you!

Well my perfect little angel came crashing down to earth yesterday when I was at work. I made a DUH mommy mistake. Peanut had been the perfect little angel all weekend what would lead me to believe she would do something wrong?? My instincts, but did I listen to them??? Of course not! So I left her out and about in the house with Molly thinking maybe Molly would help keep her in line. Well Mikey gets home from work before I do so he was the lucky one to find our home in disarray! Peanut figured out how to get up onto out 3ft tall bed and potty on it, Molly hasn't figured that out in a year, so I'm thinkin' we have one smart cookie on our hands! Also decided to go all over the house and do the same thing! Oh and found a brand new box of tissues and pulled them out one by one and tore them up all over the couch. Well now this is something we could clean up and deal with but when Mike was so kindly cleaning up the puppy mess, he accidentally put his elbow through the window in our room! I'm pretty sure he blames Peanut for that one to! So we spent a great deal of time last night dealing with Miss Peanut Butter BUTT!

House hunt update-
We looked at 2 homes in Readlyn last week and can't decide if we like this one enough to make and offer on it or not. I'm still thinking we should keep looking even though I am getting VERY impatient and would really like to be moving by Nov. We are going to look at and acreage on the edge of town hopefully tonight if possible. I am excited but it seems that any acreage in our price range is pretty disastrous! Haha! Well the pictures look nice! I will let you know how it goes!
