Mikey's Birthday!

This has been a crazy week for me! First, Mike's truck broke last week so everyday I had to get up at 4:45 to drive him to work, then back to Readlyn so I could get ready and then back to Waterloo so that I could go to work! That really sucked! But last night Mike and Tony got it fixed! I'm so happy, I got to sleep until 6 this morning! The sad thing is that I really missed taking him to work. It was nice to wake up together and start our days together! So I will miss that, not getting up at 4:45! The weather has been interesting! Tuesday we got a crazy blizzard or something and I couldn't see the road, not exaggerating! I really couldn't even see the lines to know if I was in my lane, so the 20 min drive took almost and hour!
Tomorrow is Mikey's Birthday! Yay! We don't have to work! I don't know what to buy him! We are to poor to get him what he really wants...and Escalade Ha-ha! Tonight we are going to the Casino to celebrate with his mama! I am acctually excited! I think it's going to be really fun! Maybe we can win alot of money and he can buy and Escalade! Te he he!
Oh and my spell check isn't working for some reason, so if anything is spelled wrong, blame the computer! :)

Happy Monday everyone! Aren't you all excited that the weekend is over?? Me, OF COURSE NOT! GIRRR!! Actually I was ready for Sunday to be over!

We had a nice weekend, actually pretty uneventful!

Thursday- Mike's mom got a room at the Casino! So we joined her and went swimming and stayed the night, so that She could give me a ride to work in the morning and Mike could just take my car so I could get some sleep! It was wonderful! We stayed in a huge room with a king size bed and a beautiful huge shower! It spoiled me!

Friday- Well since we were sharing a car I got off work when Mike did and picked him up. Then we went to the grocery store to get something to make dinner and picked up Tony! We had steak, corn on the cob, and baked taters! It was heaven! I didn't have to do a thing! Mike and Tony cooked for me! After dinner, Derek and Jen came by to see our house! This was a lot of fun and we couldn't stop talking! They finally headed out just after ten, and Mike had to go to bed because he had to work Saturday. I went to bed to because I was just so tired!

Saturday- Mikey worked :( So I hung out with Tony all day, we were stranded with out a car and that really sucked but we made do. Then Mikey got home, I made some "Dinner" at 3 and after that My parents came over. When they got there we left to go to the Amish stores! I love discount groceries and fresh baked goods! YUM! We got some fresh bread and apple butter! YUM! After we munched for a while Mom and Dad headed for home and took Tony with them. It was still early but we went to bed.

Sunday- Bad Day. Mike woke up on the wrong side of the bed about 80 times and was just a meanie all day. He finally checked his tude and we headed into town to get some truck parts. Blah! Mike's mom did feed us Chinese food but I had a migraine and just wanted to be home in bed. I had started some laundry before we left and of course now my washing machine was being mean to me as well! It's not doing the final rinse and spin cycle so I have to manually turn it and it's just a big ol' pain. Especially with a migraine at 10:00 at night!!

Now it's Monday. The start of a fresh week! Hope yours is a good one!!!

NEW STOVE!!

We finally have our new stove! YAY!! And it works great! So I made a Lasagna and Mike made some awesome cheesy garlic bread! Cassy, Adam, and Corina came over and joined us! We got to use both the burners and the oven so we do it works! It's nice to walk into the kitchen and see it sitting there, and knowing I can use it at any time! Now the only problem is keeping food cold that I can cook, i think we will be having a lot of pasta! :) That will be better than McDonald's and Burger King any day! Yay! I think tonight were having left over lasagna! Even with having our dinner guests we still have 1/2 of it left! Yummy yummy yummy!
So yesterday Mike's truck broke so we are back down to one car, no problem right? Well Mike works close to be distance wise but not time wise! So now I get to get up at 5 am and drive him to work, to have just enough time to get myself home and showered and back to my work by 7;30! Thank goodness my co-workers understand and let me skip my lunch and leave at 3:30, But it really makes for a long day! WOW and I have to eat at the cafe but I think I can handle that! I also don't get to see Mike everyday at lunch so that makes me sad too! But I know it wont last forever! So my mission this week/weekend is to get one of Mikes cars fixed! But he has to work on Saturday as of right now, that can change at any moment from now until 3:30 Friday afternoon. Alright, I think I am done complaining! I will get some pictures up of our new stove soon! :)

I only hate Monday's when it's not snowing!

Yay it's snowing! I love the snow! The more we get the better as long as everyone is safe!! But people are stupid and want to drive in it to come see their doctors! But another happy fact is we are having Chinese food today! MY FAVORITE! We had a nice COLD weekend but that didn't keep us down! Friday we went to a guy Mike works with house and Mike helped him hook up his big flat screen tv! It was neat! I had a fun time with his wife and 2 kids watching a movie! After that my Friend Myndi came over and then Mike fell asleep! It was funny so we stayed up really late talking, I had fun!
Saturday I decided to let Mike sleep in as late as he wanted! I got up about 9:30 and he got up about 1! He was so happy when he woke up, I may do that more often! After we got going we went to Amish country and Oelwein to eat at Los Flores! YUM! And then on to Pamida! I love Wall-mart, I think that K-mart is cheap, I love Pamida! Pamida? But nothing can beat the sweet love of God! HAHA CHURCH CAMP SONG! So that was really fun! Then we went home and Lisa came over. We then went to the local watering hole and had WAY TOO MUCH fun!
Sunday
We slept in again! And layed around watching Bonanza and Beverly Hillbilly's! It was a nice afternoon but we had to go to Wal-mart :( wait, I love Wal-mart :)! Cassy and Corina came with us and when we got done we went to McDonald's and played in the play place! That was fun but wow what a work out! I think it was the high light of my weekend!

Yay! I got a snow day! I don't expect this to happen a lot but it was nice to get the text from Mike this morning telling me NOT to drive because of the drifts. So I'm trying to catch up on some house work that I have been neglecting and some bummin around that I have been neglecting too!

We ordered our stove! We got a new microwave! We can make microwave popcorn again! Sorry to say our other microwave just wasn't very powerful and wouldn't pop the corn. We wont get our stove until 1-23 if everything goes as planned! Whoo Hoo! OK talk to you all soon!

Busy weekend!

I'm really not looking forward to this week. It already seems like it's going to be really really really long! But at least I have evenings to have fun! We figured out yesterday that we have been in our house for a month and have been without a stove or fridge for a month! This is very frustrating! But we have picked out the stove we want and I think we are going to order it tonight from Home Depot. Yay! It's really neat! I'm sure I will post pictures soon! Well as soon as they deliver it! The soonest will be Wednesday-if a miracle happens! :) Most likely it will be after next Monday. So cross your fingers everyone!

We had a nice weekend. Friday night as you saw Corina had us over to her mom and dad's for sketti! That was fun! Us girls just hung out after dinner and the boys went on a firewood hunt. We had to head home early because Mike had to work on Saturday.

Saturday Mike went to work bright and early and I got up about 7:30 and Cassy, Corina, and I went to Coralville to go shopping! Lucky us it was HUGE SALE DAY! WHoo hoo!! I got a pair of jeans for 10 bucks and a shit for 3 and a sweater for 7.50 and and and and!!! It was great!!!
After we were done shopping we headed home and Mike wasn't feeling well so he took a nap and I rearranged the kitchen and really cleaned it up nice! When Mike woke up he was feeling a little better so we went to Waverly to rent a movie and go to Wal-mart! I am falling in love with Wal-mart all over again! It's a dangerous place for me to go...they have everything!

Sunday's are supposed to be relaxing! So we slept in and then realized oh crap, we have to hurry and get to town to the bank before is closes!! So we went to the scary hy-vee and went to the bank and then got TP which we were almost in desperate need of. Then we picked up Michael and went to menards who was having a really good sale on stuff we wanted too! After we spent an hour there we went to the casino and ate at the buffet for free! YUMMY! We ate and ate and ate and ate and ate. Little Michael (15) said it was the best meal he had eaten in a long time!! After that we headed home. It was a good day just wore me out but I didn't want to go to bed because I didn't want Monday to come.

We here I sit on Monday and it's quiet which is strange and everyone seems to be pissed off.

Blah! I hate being bored at work on a Friday!

I JUST WANNA GO HOME! I know wah poor me. I get to sit at work and be on the Internet screwing around for an hour and then go home. But...when no one e-mails you or sends your funny fwds to look at, what is there to do?? Facebook and myspace only go so far. hmm...but if your not careful I will eat you on Oregon trail! Yummy! I was hungry! Well I think I'm going to go shopping this weekend! Yay for shopping! I need some new dress pants for work I'm down to like 2 pairs so 2 pairs...5 days....that's a lot of laundry during the week! Ya we those are my weekend plans! If anyone wants to join me shopping just let me know!

I didn't forget!!! I've just been a busy bee!

Happy Wednesday! It's not Monday anymore! Thank goodness! But I do wish I was saying Happy Friday! Ha-ha!

So lets see what have we been up to? Well we had a busy and sleepy weekend! Friday Night my friend Cassy graduated from nursing school so we went to the ceremony and then went to Diamond Daves to celebrate after wards. Then we headed home and my friend Lisa came over and we played pool! I suck at pool! But had fun! I figured out that when I get frustrated at Mike I play much better, so Look Out Baby!

Saturday we slept in! It was awesome! Then we laid around the house for a couple hours and headed for Amish Country! We went to some discount grocery stores and little stores! There was defiantly not enough time to visit them all! So my Mom and I are making plans to go together! Someday! After that we headed over to Tyler, Amy, and Kelli's house to play! It was nice to see them I hadn't realized we hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving weekend for Kelli's big 1st birthday! We had a nice time with them. Then we went to Fazlois and had dinner. Yum gotta love their bread sticks! Then we met up with my friend Lisa again and she came over for some more pool! Whoo hoo! Can we say slightly obsessed??

Sunday I woke up bright and early at 8 but laid in bed most of the morning getting out every little while to switch out the laundry etc. After we got up, Mike went to town to pick up Michael and go to Lowe's. He needed more supplies but I don't know what they were or what they were for! I took the Christmas ornaments off the tree, that's as far as I got! I did say no promises! Ha-ha! Someday I will get it down! Mike we have to harass me into it most likely!

Monday we both went back to work, blarg! Then at night we went to La Porte City to pick up a chair from a friend that Mike works with. On the way home the fog had really dropped and we were looking at about 5 yards of visibility. By the time we got home our new chair was covered in Ice because the fog was freezing. Also Mike's truck was covered with 1/4 inch of ice as well! It was nuts!

Tuesday, pretty uneventful. Went to the doctor for my physical and to have her check the bumps on my head. Turns out I have a normal noggin! Hooray! After work Mike and I went to Wal-mart! This Wal-mart's so big they even have a gourmet restaurant! OK maybe not gourmet but good! So we had dinner at Wal-mart! haha! This no stove business is starting to get to us. Were tired of things you can make in the microwave so we have started eating out! Shame shame on us! That's expensive! After that we did some much "needed" shopping. I did get hangers, which I've been meaning to get every time we went there since we moved. So go me! And we got new globes for the ceiling fan that's in our "bedroom" because one was missing. They rock! They are clear glass with what looks like little bubbles in it! It just makes the fan look so much nicer. Then Mike insisted on putting the 75 watt light bulbs in it. Thank goodness for dimmers! After that we headed home. I have noticed that we have been getting to the point at home when we can't relax until at least 9 every night. It's starting to wear me out! And I know we prob. won't again tonight because were going with Mike's mom to go look at stoves. But it's worth it! So far we have no plans for the rest of the week (that I know of) so hopefully I will have some laundry and down time! :) Have a great Hump day and the rest of your week! (We've made it 1/2 way!)
