Makin Smoke Bombs on a Saturday night...

"O M G! This is so exciting!"

This is what a pop can looks like when you do a home made smoke bomb in it

Carrie's getting bored!!!

Cooking the stuff...so safe!
Yeah so as you can see we really used our Saturday night well. We sat around ate some 2# steaks and made smoke bombs. It was fun!
Today is really really really HOT! The humidity is unbearable, Mike actually turned the air on because we were literally just laying down trying to stay cool...not working! So it's much cooler in here now and I'm actually enjoying myself. We did have a panic moment when we first thought to turn on the air...what if it doesn't work!!! But it does so yay! OK that's all for now!

Goodbyes always come too soon

Lucas and Dad! What Studs!

Cheese!

Ooo Say Can You See...

They left on buses but this was still so neat!

Well today was the day that my dad left for Oklahoma to go on lock down and do some serious training. It was a very stressful week for all, especially Dad and Mom. There was a really nice send off at the Hanger today and so many of Dad's good friends came to wish him well. This seems surreal to me. Today was a blur. I know he's gone but life here continues on as normal. Were just sitting at home on the couch watching boring t.v. and having a beer (sorry dad!). Now the waiting game is over for him to leave, it now starts for waiting for him to visit in August before he goes to Iraq. This is very overwhelming for all involved. I am glad that I am old enough to appreciate whats happening and trying to understand what my Mom is going through. Wow. Here are some pictures from tonight at the send off. Dad, I am so proud to be your daughter.
Oh, and Molly and Peanut FINALLY got their hairs cut today...look out world here they come!

We lived like the Amish! Sept we had flashlight and our power came back on in a reasonable amount of time.

Lil Michael and I went to the Memorial Day parade in Readlyn... Marching Band...
Lot's of fans...
Veterans with Flags...
Boy and Girl Scouts...

It's over?? Wow that was the shortest parade I have ever been to in my life!!! I think it took us longer to walk down Main street!
Oh yeah...and it was HOT!!!

Well the next batch of pictures may be disturbing. This is the damage from the Tornado that flattened Parkersburg and missed us by about 4 miles. Please take some time to look at the detail, it's amazing.

Wow, this pictures is on of my favorites and this amazed me the most. Look at the grass still on the dirt that was pulled from the ground.

Another tree like the other before.

Can you believe how this looks just like a tin can?
