Slacking off is easy to do...
HELLO ALL! Well I was a bad girl and didn't really take any pictures at all this last few days. I am terrible!!!!
Our weekend was very uneventful to say the least. Friday night we spent a few hours with Mike's mom, changing her oil, shopping, getting dinner, etc. After that we went and spent a little bit of time with my mom! We just got together to catch up. It was nice to just sit and be together.
Saturday I woke up bright and early! I started doing a little bit of Saturday morning cleaning knowing very well my husband would probably sleep until at least noon. Cassy called and asked me to watch her dog while they went on a mini vacation to the zoo with Corina. Of course I said yes so I went over to get the garage door opener and say goodbye. I got there just in time for breakfast! Yum! After breakfast Corina woke up just in time to give Auntie Carrie a goodbye hug that lasted oh about 25 mins because she didn't want me to leave and shes so cute and cuddly when she is sleepy! By the time I got back home, Chris, a guy Mike works with, was at our house and Mike was AWAKE! He wanted some stickers for his truck that he puts in most of the surrounding parades, including Readlyn's. It's a truck dedicated to POW MIA and he has a Cannon in the back! It's a neat thing! Mike helped him design a bunch of graphics for the truck. We mostly spent a lot of time talking not working haha! He knows our favorite neighbor across the street so we had a reunion! Haha! It was great. While they were working on the truck I went and got the mail. We FINALLY got our stimulus check. HOORAY!! So we went SHOPPING! Ok, we did but not for things we didn't need and I don't think we spent more that $150 of it. We bought those things that you always need but don't HAVE to have. It was great! Mikey also took me out to dinner at Applebeys, the happiest place on earth! Yum! That was pretty much our Saturday. Exciting huh??
Sunday's are supposed to be lazy. But because we had a pretty tame weekend Mike and I both woke up early and got going early. We went to the grocery store in Tripoli, I had never been there before but the add looked promising, well I was looking at the add that starts today, not Sunday, not so promising. It's close if your in a pinch and their produce is much nicer than Denver's. Any way, while we were there another friend who wanted some stickers for his truck called. "Billy Bob." We met him while mudding this year. He's a really nice guy and just really makes us laugh! So he came over with his truck and ended up staying all afternoon. Our newest friend in Readlyn, Jon, came over as well and hung out with us. Mike finally mowed the lawn on Sunday after about 2 weeks haha! Once the yard was all nice a mowed we started playing with fireworks and that was it, I lost the boys for the night so I went inside and watched Army Wives.
Monday was go crazy and clean your house day! Well for us anyway. And did we ever! I kept looking around telling Mike, look at our house! This is our nice clean house! This is what it's like to have a clean house! Still full of boxes! Haha! Well I really went to town, I even climbed up on the pool table with the vacuum and cleaned that too! It was nice to wake up to a nice clean house the last couple days! Jon came over and watched us clean and helped Mike carry up the last of the dry wall to the upstairs. Yay!!
Tuesday was the day we cleaned for! Mike's sister from Colorado came to visit! We get to see her about once a year for a few days! It was fun showing off our house to her! Yes, she was impressed! Mike's mom even thought it was clean! :) We grilled out and had a nice time visiting. We showed the pictures of our natural disasters that have been happening so frequently around here! Mike showed of his garden, Jeni is excited for the tomatoes to hurry up! Me too! We just had a good time. We will most likely be getting together with them another day this week to celebrate all the birthdays!
I am very excited for tonight, it's Fried Chicken night tonight! Mom and Laura are coming to enjoy with us. As well as Billy Bob. I think Adam and Cassy might be coming with too! I am excited! It's going to be so yummy! I will take pictures tonight if I remember and blog again soon!

Readlyn has something new!!
Well our bar and restaurant now have new owners! That means new things happening in Readlyn starting tonight! Tonight was the first of many Wednesday night All You Can Eat Fried Chicken! YUM! Everything was so good and homemade, even the ranch dressing! It was so cool to me, this is the first time we were doing something in town and people came up and said hi and recognized us! 2 of our neighbors came and talked to us! :) That was a great feeling! We also just so happen to know the new owners son Jon. He's a really nice guy and his family seems great! He has the cutest little boy named Blake. I call him Blakey cause he has blond curly hair! They came over after dinner and played with us. He's 11 months old so we worked on walking. :) So fun! I am so happy people recognized us! hehe I don't feel like and outsider anymore! We expect you all to come for a Wednesday night Chicken dinner sometime soon!

The MoensSo we had a very good weekend! We spent alot of time with friends and family!
Thursday night our old neighbor Danny came over and we had a great bon fire! We had fun just spending time catching up! I was also very busy in the kitchen making salads for our 4th of July BBQ!
We had a BBQ on Friday the 4th! It was great! Alot of our friends were able to make it and we all were eating, drinking, and being merry! I made several dishes and everyone brought something! We had way to much food!! :) Yay! The best thing was Mikes grilled corn on the cob! We had a nice time and ended up doing our own fireworks show! Provided by Mikey and Tyler! We then just hung around the camp fire and called it an early night. It was nice.
Saturday we went out to Moesers and watched mudding. Mike rode a 4 wheeler but that was about it. We didn't know very many people this time and I felt really old! We stayed for a while and then went home to bed. Yesterday we kinda cleaned up from the party messes and just hung around home. We headed to town in the evening to visit with Mike's mom, but she wasn't home so we went to the casino. We left a little ahead and had a good time! All in All it was a really fun weekend!

Yup we sure enjoyed the local wild life!
We stopped at several fireworks store, went way over budget and had a great time! Just when we were getting ready to head home it started to pour. I fell asleep not long after that and woke up near home as Mike was getting pulled over. He was only going 11 over and that poop gave him a ticket. Oh well! We got home safely and went to bed shortly after!
Sunday we planned on laying around all day. We did for part and then did some running for the other part. All in All it was a great weekend! Can't wait to set off those fireworks!!!
