Fun Weekend!

We had such a fun weekend! Friday night was cool! We met up with Mike's brother Derek and his girlfriend Kiersten. We went to AJ's and then back to their new house! They just bought a house in January and were eagar to show it off. That was fun, we had to cut our evening short because Mike had to work Saturday.

Saturday

I got up bright and early at 6:45! My eyes just popped open! It was a very productive morning for me. I got my kitchen and bathroom clean, went to the grocery store, made homemade chicken noodle soup, and played with my puppies! All before noon! Then Mike got home and we enjoyed some soup, went out into the corn fields and stole some corn for the squirrels! After we got home Mike layed down for a quick nap and Mom and Dad came over! We had a lot of fun and a Bonn Fire...a Mini quick bonn fire! It was fun! After they left I fell asleep in the chair and Mike took me to bed about 11.

Sunday

Was a lazy day. I don't think we got much accomplished but it was a good day. We went to the store in the morning and Mike made a meatloaf in the afternoon. He makes an awesome meatloaf! I made a Cheesecake and a Regular cake, we were hungry for cake! :)

Monday

Last night was fun too! We went for a bike ride with Cassy and Corina. And we grilled out, then the Gray's came to our house for dessert, some cheese cake and cake!

So i just was looking at this pic, it's not my camera...almost my camera but not quite, well you get the idea!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!! We went and got a new digital camera last night! We never found ours, I'm hoping that the new one will want to mate with the old one and she will come out of hiding! Then we can have 2! I do miss my old one but this has more mega pixels and is just new! But it's not pink...and that's sad.

I know I know I'm a terrible mama, look how filthy and over grown! But they are still sweet and cuddly even after their their rain bath!
This is a cool feature! It takes 16 pictures in a row, the only thing I don't like is the fact that you can't pick your your favorite picture out of the 16, this is what you get. Maybe you can and I don't know yet...hmmm...
Like my bath robe? It has a cool mode called "smile mode" and when people smile it takes a picture with or with out pushing the button...this is me trying it out!!

It may be raining again...but it's going to be a good day! As you can tell we got a new camera! We got a Nikon Cool Pix 10 mega pixel 5x zoom. It is neat! It's funny, Mike went to Best Buy after work to get a new camera, he waited and waited and waited, when I got off work at 4:30 he called me and asked my to meet him there because he thought when the guy finally helped him he would bite his head off, so 20 mins later when I got there, I walked in the door walked up to the cameras and the same guy came right up and asked "how can I help you?" hmmm...you should have seen the look on Mike's face! Mike is sure it's just the T & A that got us the quick service...well I guess being a girl does have it's benefits! So we looked at about 15 different cameras and finally decided on this one. After we finally got out of Best Buy we went to Menards to get the filter and hose to set up our fridge so we could get water and Ice made Yay! Then we were STARVING! So we went to Fazolis. Mike and I ate out 4 nights in a row. I am soooooooo ready for a home cooked meal. Normally we only eat out on maybe Friday or Saturday! Oh well it was fun! When we finally got home at 8...we had to hook up the fridge thingamabob and finally sit down oh about 9:30. This week has been exhausting but fun all in one! So far I don't know what our weekend has in store for us but I'm sure it will be fun, possibly a Bonn fire?? :) Yay for nice weather!

El Pollo en mi Quesadilla?!?!?!?!

Si, Si Senor's en Senoritas. El Pollo en mi quesedilla! Muy bueno! But the service SUCKED! I was very saddened last night, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner, something we have been craving for a month, and there was only 1, yes 1 server working in the whole restaurant. After about 20 mins we decided to get up and leave and go to Luigi's and try something new, but just at that moment the server came and took our order. So we decided to stay thinking that possibly he was getting caught up. Heavens no! When we finally got our food, he dropped it on the table and never came back again. I felt so bad for the hostess, who clearly wasn't dressed or prepared, or used to running in circles doing the servers job because she was the one that refilled our drinks and chips. Needless to say we did not leave a tip, if he would have come back just one time to see if we were ok...he would have at least got something. The service there is never ideal but it's usually tolerable. I was disappointed. I asked the hostess when we left if it was normal to just have the 2 of them working on a Wednesday, I think the question confused her and I never got a clear answer. We were very nice and didn't complain (normally we would) but when I saw all the other people ripping in to her I didn't wanna add to the stress. WWJD? I smiled and said thank you and wished her a better night. I'm just a softy I guess!! I'm not saying I wont go back because my food was still amazing, Mikes was ehh. We will return and hope for better service! :)

I got my hairs did!!

I DONE IT!! I finally cut some of my hair off...believe me this was a long time commin! I don't exactly know how much but I know it was A LOT at least to me! Laura's boyfriend Tyler cut it and did an amazing job! He didn't pull my hair at all! That's talent!

After my hair cut, I picked up little Michael and went and showed off my dew to Mom and Dad then we headed to my house. Mike was eagerly awaiting us because we had a race car in our garage!!! Vinyl Guy Graphics Strikes Again! The reason we don't have any awesome pics of the race car up is because...we lost our camera! I don't know how, and it's very very frustrating because I watch that thing like a hawk, how do you lose a camera you ask?? You let your husband use and don't keep track of where it gets set down in the garage! It was my awesome pink camera too :( We have been searching since Sunday morning and can't find it anywhere. Oh well, if it doesn't turn up soon, I guess it's time for a new one. We were actually thinking about getting a new one but hoped to have 2! Luckily I had just uploaded most of the pics off of it Saturday evening, but most of the race car pictures were taken Saturday night! Not to mention the funny video of my smacking little Michael in the back of the head...now that was funny! :)

Our weekend otherwise was pretty tame. Spent most of the weekend working on the car a laying around the house and playing pool or cuddling the puppies! It was all in all a good weekend.

Last night Uncle Dave and Auntie Elaine Harder stopped through town to visit for a little while! It was really nice to see them! I love their hugs! After they left dad headed to his band practice so Mom, Mike, and I went out to dinner at The OP! It was so good! Onion rings and pizza!! After dinner (thanks Ma!) Mike and I went to Menard's to buy a ladder and some house paint! By the time we got home it was after 9 and I was so tired. Tonight Sharon is coming to town and I am excited to see her! I'll write more soon!! :)

Friday-

It was a beautiful day! Mike and Michael wanted to go practice trap shooting and I didn't so I went and picked Dinah up from the vet and visited Grandma for a while. After that I went to Mom and Dads house for a visit. Mike and Michael stopped by for a while but then they went home to play pool and I stayed and hung around with Mom, Laura, and Tyler for a while after that. When I got home I went right to bed with a headache...yuck!

Saturday-

Michael spent the night Friday and Mike had to work Saturday so we went to the family readiness meeting and helped play with the kids until about 1:00. It was fun! After that we went home and Mike was there so we had lunch and played a couple games of pool I actually used my clothes line and I LOVE IT! It's the coolest thing! If you don't have one get one! Even just for blankets! After that Mike made some signs and we ran to town to drop them off and go shootin! It was fun! I actually hit a clay! Wow! I only took about 6 shots and I did pretty good I thought! I was to busy taking pictures! After that we went to the grocery store and got stuff to grill and make potato salad! YUM! I think I did Jeni proud...tasted just like hers to me! The crummy part is that we didn't eat dinner until really late so we were all cranky hungry and tired, by the time we ate we just went to bed right after!

Sunday-

FFA Omelet Breakfast! Bring on the rinderwurst! I think that I am strange...but it's good! After breakfast we went home and played a few games of pool, then went to town to take Michael back home. After that we went to Jeni's to officially check out her new car!! We did some running and went home and worked on our room for a little bit. All in all it was a very relaxing weekend. I will try and write more this week...strapped for time today! :

Happy Monday Everyone!

Yes we had another fun filled but not so busy weekend this week. It all started out Friday after work. Mike and I went to Target so I could get Corina and Elmo book that Sara bought for Trinity...thank you for finding them Miss Sara! But was saddened when there were none left. But I did find a cool Peter Cotton Tail book for her and some Pink Bunny Ears (Pictured in 1st photo) and some Elmo barrettes for her hair! Her favorite thing was the book! After shopping Mike went to pick up little Michael and I headed for home to do the dishes. We had fun after Michael got there, we had pizza and played pool. Then we went up to the bar to hang out with some other Readlyners. It was a very late night for all of us!

Saturday
I got up bright and early to go with Adam, Cassy, and Corina to the Easter egg hunt. Corina looked so cute! She wore her bunny ears the whole time! She got lots of goodies too!
After the hunt we went back to my house to wake up the Mike's to go to and Amish bakery for some awesome donuts! To bad they were all gone when we got there! But they still had little pies and other treats for us to eat. After that we went to Carter's store to get some cheap groceries...I got noodles for 20 cents! After Carter's Adam, Cassy, and Corina headed home but me and the Mike's kept on Amish hoppin! We went to another really neat furniture store and another country store and got some pickles! Yummy! Then we went to Fontana Park in Hazel ton. It's a really pretty park with a neat animal display. We were surprised that some of the animals were actually there due to the cold weather. We saw buffalo, wild cat, black bears, lot's of birds and dear. The pictures didn't turn out that great but for what your can see they are neat! After that we went to Oelwein to eat at Los Flores! We were all very tired but hungry and with full belly's we were ready for a nap, so we headed home. Mike and I took a 2 hour nap but when we woke up it didn't feel like enough. The rest of the night we pretty much just hung around the house. Mike built me a Squirrel feeder! It's really cool, but as of yet no Squirrels are eating any corn! I even put a few peanuts up there for them too. Stinkers.

Sunday, Easter!
I got up bright and early at 9 and made pancakes for me and the boys. They were awesome pancakes! Then Mike decided to cut his hair and shave down to a gotee...he looks hot! After that we got ready and went over to Mike's mom's house to visit. Besides seeing her at work I hadn't seen her in at least a month. Time really flys. After visiting with Jeni, we went over to my parents house for an AWESOME dinner! We got to see grandma and Laura with her boyfriend Tyler. Seems like a really nice guy! We had a fun dinner. My mom is an amazing cook. We had ham...I love ham...mmm...ham...
After or celebration Mike and I were exhausted and we went back home. We played pool and played with the dogs, then watched Dirt. I LOVE THAT SHOW! It's terrible!

Busy Busy!

HI! Oh my gosh what a weekend! I can definitally say that I did't spend my weekend sitting on my butt that's for sure!


I already wrote about Friday night before we went out the bar with Tony, and we met a really nice couple! Jen and Keith. They are also new to Readlyn but live in the apartments on the otherside of 5th St. Well we met them at the bar but they ended up comming back to our house to play FREE pool and get to know eachother better. It was fun but they didn't leave until 4:30 so I was really tired!


Saturday we were again...busy! I got up and tryed to do a little bit of cleaning and let Mike sleep in since he actually had a Saturday off. When he got up he had to make a BUNCH of decals for Tony well that Tony was going to deliver. So we got ready and took him back to town and stopped at HY-Vee to get some frozen pizzas...we were VERY hungry! And headed back home. That night a friend from work Merri and her husband Rick came over. IT was fun to do something together outside of work and nice to meet her husband. But it was another late night.



Sunday my plan was to relax! That didn't happen! Adam called us and offered us a free dryer so we over to get it and ended up bringing them home with us. Jen and Keith came over to do laundry and watch the baseball game. We ended up hanging out until after 8:30. It was fun!

That wraps up the weekend for us...phew...I need a weekend from my weekend!
